Do you want to invite them over but don’t know what to play once you do? Fret not like today we will be going over a few of the Best Co-op PS4 Split-Screen Games that you can simultaneously play together with others.
Best Co-op PS4 Split-Screen Games
10. Plants vs. Zombies 2 Garden Warfare
From the strategy-based mobile game to a third-person shooter (TPS) game, this series has never failed to entertain us. You can play this alone or with a friend in multiple game modes with loads of characters to choose from and tonnes of skins to unlock and create which makes this a really great game that is worth your time. This game is enjoyable to play both by yourself and with others.
9. Grand Turismo Sport
This Playstation exclusive series has been a significant selling point for the console among fans of racing games and fast cars. This new installment, which is exclusive to PS4, does not disappoint at all. It delivers the ultimate racing experience. It is great fun when shared with a Player 2 next to you. With a large selection of cars, locations, and game modes to choose from along with realistic car behavior and amazing controls, this game is sure to keep you entertained for hours.
8. Diablo 3
The original Diablo served as an introduction to games and/or RPGs to many people. The third installment is a great RPG game for previous fans of the series as well as new ones. Diablo 3 allows you to bring three teammates along with you on your action-filled adventure. This game can be very addicting, and the fantasy aesthetic of this game could keep you and your friends hooked.
7. Tekken 7
This installment of the popular fighting game series was long-awaited for, and it definitely was worth the wait. It is fun even in singleplayer where you dive back into the story of the Mishima Clan. But that’s not what we’re here for today. The multiplayer in Tekken 7 is just fantastic, easily surpassing the singleplayer experience. You can play against others online and also locally. The game is pretty easy to get into, but it takes a very long time to master it; so for those who thought that the game lacked complexity from my last statement, look again as mindlessly spamming your attacks will not help you win the game; at least in a competitive match. Get ready to spend hours training and perfecting your combos to unleash death upon your opponents.
6. Nex Machina
This is a fast-paced shooter game with innovative gameplay tricks and an incredibly appropriate soundtrack to set the tone of the game. The fascinating part of this game is its co-op mode, which requires the players to be able to trust their partners and coordinate flawlessly with each other against numerous enemies. The players share their life/health, and the amount of enemies in the multiplayer mode is too overwhelming for a single player to be able to handle. So both players must give it their all if they wish to succeed.
5. Borderlands: The Handsome Collection
For all the fans of shooting games out there, this entry is for you. Widely considered as a game similar to Diablo, but with guns Borderlands: The Handsome Collection delivers an enjoyable and entertaining experience. The main objective of this game is to loot and shoot your way towards victory. Defeating enemies with guns, picking up necessary items even by stealing from them makes up the basics of Borderlands. You can bring along three other friends on your journey to share the experience, to form a squad of shooters who are hungry for victory. Not to forget the fact that Borderlands also delivers a great sense of humor to tickle your funny bone.
If you want an alternative shooter game, one that is more realistic, you should check out Call of Duty WWII; or if you are patient enough, you can wait till October for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019). Both games mentioned in this section are super fun to play and are exceptional in their own way, so don’t skip them.
Think that your bond with your team is strong and that you are phlegmatic towards them? Think again as this game will definitely push some buttons. This game will definitely test your patience and will make you want to strangle your teammates to death unless you are a peaceful holy saint who has found inner peace or something like that.
You might be wondering what game would frustrate a player so much. Well, this game is about…..cooking. Yes, you heard me right, the objective of this game is to prepare a meal according to a recipe. Sounds simple, but it is easier said than done. You can play with up to 4 players on your team to accomplish this seemingly simple task. This cooperative game is super fun to play with lots of features, and the levels become harder as you progress through the game; not to mention the fact that the kitchen will turn equally chaotic along the way. Both the first game and its sequel are pretty great games, so try out both if you get the chance. Don’t believe me that this game will make you go nuts? Just give it a try.
3. Divinity The Original Sin Series
Though there is only two games in the series, these two alone pack a serious punch. This list could not be complete without these games in it. In the first game, you could play with two players; whereas the sequel allows you to play with four. The only downside being that you cannot play with all four on one screen as one screen will only host two players. These games deliver an experience very similar to a tabletop RPG. With features like inter-party dynamics and conflicts between characters which must be resolved within the game. Both games offer beautiful stories to experience and unfold.
2. Rocket League
Rocket League is perfect for playing with friends as the theme is a very appealing one which was executed well. Integrating jumping/flying cars with soccer what a genius thing to do! This game’s matches can turn into mayhem. This is a top-rated game and for a good reason. The co-op feature allows up to a split-screen of four players, or you can play online. Do you enjoy chaotic, fast-paced, incredibly silly games that are super fun to play? Then definitely check out this game.
1. A Way Out
This game was created specifically for the split-screen experience. Following the story of two prisoners trying to escape from prison, this game offers a variety of possibilities to solve its different scenarios based on your decisions and the plan you come up with. The goal is to get out – all that is left is how you achieve that goal and how well you can cooperate.
